Planning for the Future
The Tillamook County Library has completed our new Strategic Plan which will envision our Library of the Future. In the last 2 years, we conducted a countywide needs assessment, which provided rich information about the programs and services the library users most value. Overwhelmingly, you were positive and enthusiastic about your Library.
Our new Plan has been signed by the Tillamook County Library Board, presented to the Tillamook County Library Commissioners and Town Hall meetings.
I wish to thank everyone that was involved in the Plan and the many hours of work. Here is a breakdown of the involvement.
186 hours of meetings and work sessions
2253 person hours, much of it volunteers
County Commissioners
The 7-member Library Board
The 13-member Library Futures Committee
Involved Library Friends, Foundation, and cities
Library management and staff
Community at large (starting in 2013….)
You will see many changes as we progress with our new Plan. I hope you will continue to provide the feedback we need to be the best Library possible!
Best wishes
Sara Charlton
