All ages are invited to this event on Tuesday, October 22nd to learn about salmon and see the eggs set up in their new tanks at the Bay City Library (10:30 am) and the Garibaldi Library (11:30 am).
Garibaldi and Bay City Branch Libraries will be hosting Spring Chinook Salmon Eggs as part of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's (ODFW) educational Salmon Trout Enhancement Program (STEP). Representatives from the ODFW and Tillamook Estuaries Partnership will be at each branch to talk about salmon and their habitat when the eggs arrive and are introduced into the tanks. Over the following weeks the eggs will develop into fish fry and eventually be released into the wild.
