Dog Licenses

  • Tillamook County Clerk According to Tillamook County Ordinance#64, all dogs in Tillamook County must be licensed.

    There are three locations to license dogs.  Unless you live in the City of Tillamook or Bay City you will register your dog at the County Court House.

    1) City of Tillamook, 

    2) City of Bay City at the City Hall, located at 5525 B Street in  Bay City

    3) Tillamook County Clerk's office is located in the County Courthouse

    • To license your dog for the first time submit a valid rabies vaccine certificate (You can get this from your Vet.) and the owner application form.
    • At the beginning of each year we will mail a letter reminding you to renew the license. 
    • The renewal letter will show the rabies expiration date for your dog.  To renew a license, your dog's rabies must be current.  Please check the date to determine if it is current.  If not, please submit an updated rabies certificate to our office.
    • If you wish to renew a license through the mail; please make your check payable to the Tillamook County Clerk.  Send payments to: Tillamook County Clerk, 201 Laurel Avenue, Tillamook, OR 97141

    • If you have recently reached Senior Citizen status (65), please provide us with proof (drivers license) of your age so we may verify your date of birth to give you the Senior Citizen discount.
    • To receive the a discount for a dog that has been spayed or neutered we must have written proof from the veterinarian. Most often this is indicated on your rabies certificate.
