Good afternoon,
I attended a NWS briefing and want to pass along the information they gave concerning the approach storm system
Summary -
● Strong wind gusts along the coast, mainly beaches and headlands, this afternoon into the
overnight hours. Strongest wind gusts peaking 50-65 mph, up to 70-85 mph possible (30% chance),
from 1 PM today through 4 AM Wednesday. Winds peak at ~7 PM this evening.
● For inland areas, gusts up to 35-45 mph possible, locally up to 50 mph, 1 PM today through 4 AM
Wednesday. Lower probability (15-25%) but higher impact scenario of 50-60mph winds
central/southern Willamette Valley and foothills still in play. Winds peak around 9-10 PM this
evening.
● Snow continues in the Cascades. Additional 6 to 16 inches of snow above 2000-2500 feet with the

#orwx #wawx
